History

The Nature Lyceum opened up in 1994 as the first organic horticulture school on Long Island, located in Westhampton Beach, New York. Jeff Frank brought together teachers and students alike from all over the country to learn and share alternative methods of farming/gardening before organics was a widely known concept. Upon completion of his courses his students would proudly bare the title “Green Guerrilla”. Frank was on a mission to “make the world a safer place for his grandkids”.

After Jeff’s passing in 2012 the Lyceum was left to his daughter Jennifer. While she was pursuing her own endeavors in health and being a mother; his students, the Green Guerrilla’s kept the Lyceum alive. In 2020 his granddaughter Kelly took over the school which no longer had a set location. Her changes to the structure of what was once called “Jeff Frank’s Mystery School” was facilitated by her grandfather’s mission.
